Demolition Supervisor

About the role

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a  Demolition Supervisor to join our high performing team. Working as part of the Australian team and reporting to both the Project Manager and the State Manager, the Demolition Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the company’s workforce and subcontractors conduct the work efficiently and safely and ensure that company policies and procedures are adhered to on-site.

On project sites, the site supervisor will supervise the workforce under their control to ensure that all the undertakings being carried out meet the company’s long and short-term objectives and compliance with hygiene, safety, environment, and government regulations, standards, and policies.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervision of Demolition projects from insertion to completion.
  • Supervision of all works completed on-site to ensure required quality and productivity.
  • Coordinating tasks and ensuring adherence to safe work method statements and risk assessments.
  • Liaise with clients, sub-contractors, and internal teams to achieve productive outcomes for the project.
  • Providing reports on works completed.
  • Resourcing plant and material for the works, including programming the works.

Skills & Experience

As a successful candidate you are expected to have:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the demolition, civil construction and/or remediation contracting industry.
  • Have the ability and experience to run, direct and sub-contract labour teams safely and productively.
  • Be practical-minded and work with a hands-on approach coupled with excellent communication and people skills.
  • Be able to communicate clearly, take and follow directions and be proactive in the workplace.
  • Be able to work to deadlines.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook and Word.
  • Experience in site remediation is not essential but highly regarded.
