Remediating the Planet
Liberty Industrial’s Principal Environmental Engineer to Present PFAS Remediation Research at International CleanUp Conference
5 September 2019 – Liberty Industrial’s Principal Environmental Engineer, John Stevanoni, will present his research on mycoremediation of PFAS contaminated soil at the International CleanUp Conference 2019.
This internationally recognised contaminated land remediation conference is the global forum for all aspects of contaminated site assessment, management, and remediation, including all the latest on PFAS. The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Remediating the Planet’.
PFAS is the new black in contaminated land remediation and John’s presentation on mycoremediation of PFAS contaminated soil reveals how fungi can break down the much-reported, toxic, and problematic PFASs in fire fighting foams, proving that fungi have the potential to remediate the planet!
John’s presentation, Biotransformation of Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances in Soil Using Enhanced Bioremediation Methods, is on Monday, September 9, at 1:40 pm. If you’re into all things PFAS, don’t miss it!
