Small Scale in the Spotlight
19 November 2019 – Liberty Industrial has cemented an enviable reputation for the delivery of large-scale, high profile, and technically complex demolition and remediation projects, but did you know we also excel at delivering projects with contract values of less than a million dollars? From time-sensitive remediation works such as emergency asbestos remediation to small scale but technical demolition projects, Liberty Industrial is well placed to assist.
Recently a school in Sydney’s southwest had been the subject of illegally tipped asbestos contaminated soil. On very short notice Liberty Industrial was engaged to provide emergency remediation services. Liberty Industrial reacted promptly and executed all works as required to enable the school to be reopened prior to the conclusion of the school holiday period.
Liberty Industrial’s reputation for delivering projects in the <$1M value range is exemplified by the following international accolades.
Liberty Industrial’s Port Kembla Gateway Crane was shortlisted as a Finalist for Contract of the Year Under US$1M at the 2019 World Demolition Awards. This was a small but highly technical project involving Insitu dismantling of a 200-tonne shore-crane located at the end of a Port Jetty using a mobile crawler crane situated directly alongside the redundant jetty crane.
Liberty Industrial’s Duck River Bridge Dismantling Project won the Contract of the Year under the US$1 million category at the 2016 World Demolition Awards. The project involved the removal of a redundant 70m single-span pipe bridge at the former Clyde Refinery. The project was awarded the Contract of the Year Under US$1M Award at the 2016 World Demolition Awards.
